Cora M. Tellez

Cora M. Tellez is the Board Chair and Founder of Sterling Administration, a company she established in 2004 to provide expert services in healthcare finance and management. With over 25 years of executive experience in healthcare delivery and finance, Cora has led notable organizations, including as President of Health Net, Inc.’s Health Plans division, where she oversaw an $8 billion revenue operation. She has also served as President of Prudential’s Western Healthcare operations, CEO of Blue Shield of California’s Bay Region, and Regional Manager for Kaiser Permanente in Hawaii.

In 2015, Cora launched Amazing Care Network, Inc. (ACN) to reshape the aging experience for men and women. ACN offers resources for long-term care savings, senior social networks, and a network of retired physicians to guide clients through the healthcare system. The company also introduced a pioneering debit card for home care agency use. Cora further extended ACN’s mission with the Amazing Care Network Foundation, a nonprofit she founded in 2019 to assist individuals in need of ACN’s services and to provide financial support for caregiving.

Cora holds a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from California State University and is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Mills College, where she previously served as a Trustee. She serves on the boards of HMS Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: HMSY), CorMedix (NYSE: CRMD), and Pacific Premier Bank (NASDAQ: PPBI), along with nonprofit organizations and UC San Diego’s Center for Integrative Medicine. A member of the International Women’s Forum and Women Corporate Directors, Cora’s influence extends across corporate and community spheres.

Her previous board roles include directorships with Practice Fusion, Crescent Healthcare, Bank of Hawaii, Glendale Federal Bank, Cal Fed Bank, Catellus Development Company, First Consulting Group, and Presbyterian Health Plan. Cora’s commitment to community service is reflected in her work with nonprofits such as The Cowell Foundation, Mills College, Holy Names University, and Philippine International Aid. She also co-founded Asian Community Mental Health and Filipinos for Social Justice.

Cora’s achievements have earned her multiple honors, including the Living Example Award from the Bay Area Tumor Institute, the Del Beasley Award for Community Leadership from the Progressive Oakland Women for Empowerment and Reform, and a leadership recognition from the San Francisco Philippine Consulate Office. She has been celebrated by Women Healthcare Executives, the Asian Pacific Fund, and the Anti-Defamation League for her dedication to both professional and community advancements.
